Arches Watercolours Arches® Watercolours is an acid-free, 100% cotton paper, which lends the product resistance, stability, and a characteristic feel. The traditional production process on a round cylinder gives the item a varied, harmonious texture: cloth, fine, or satiny. Surface sized 'inside' and dry on the surface, the colours are rendered beautifully even after scratching and gumming. Its natural dye and antifungal protection ensures its excellent permanence. Marimeri watercolours These are favoured by the water colour society and other professional artist. The purity of formula and composition that is the true quality of these watercolours is preserved. In designing the palette of 72 colours, preference was given to the pigments offering the greatest transparency, without prejudice, attempting to achieve top colour quality and lightfastness in the simplest possible way. 52 colours are pure, consisting of a single pigment bound with authentic top quality gum-Arabic from Sudan and distilled water. Using water colours you can create beautiful masterpieces. There are many advantages to selecting watercolor over other mediums. It's very forgiving (I've created a lot of beautiful images in watercolor by making a 'happy accident') as the blending and washing provides so many striking effects. It's also quick - you can create a masterpiece in under an hour and less time means less resources required and overall it's a cheaper medium. The techniques required are much simpler to learn for the novice, but can be perfected by the more experienced artist.
